In our room

Cooper is out of surgery. It went well but was more involved than the surgeon anticipated and lasted 2 1/2 hours instead of 1 1/2 hours. It was "quite a mess in there" to quote the surgeon. The intestines were not twisted which is good but there was a lot of tissue growing in odd ways. That's not quite the technical explanation he gave us....should have written it down! They also removed his appendix while they were in there. Now Coop is sleeping. He's on painkillers through his epidural, is getting IV fluids and soon Tylenol. He has a sore throat from the NG tube. He will have the tube down his nose for a few more days. As the surgeon said he's "Mr Tubes". Keeping him happy after he wakes up and wants to move will be interesting-suggestions welcomed! That's all for now....
