Cooper's latest adventure

Today Cooper has surgery to correct intestinal malrotation which is a congenital defect. When he was 10 weeks old his intestines didn't attach in the right place which puts him at risk for his intestines to twist. This could be life threatening so the surgeon recommended surgery. This morning Cooper couldn't eat/drink anything after 3:15am so not surprisingly he was pretty cranky by surgery time. I have tons of photos but can't upload them with the browser on the iPad.... So photos later! Cooper had the tiniest little gown-it was so cute! About 30 minutes before surgery start time the nurse gave Cooper a sedative which made for a very happy, silly baby. Stay tuned for the video :) I was able to take Coop back to the operating room and stay with him until the gas put him to sleep. He was very peaceful and I was able to give him a kiss before leaving. They will give him an epidural which will help a lot with the pain. According to the monitor here in the waiting room, surgery started at 11:53pm. They should be finished by 12:45pm. Will post more after surgery.
